2008 Tsinghua University Delegation VisitOn November 18-19, 2008 RAEDC in collaboration with Rockford College hosted a delegation of 20 EMBA professionals from Beijing, China’s Tsinghua University. Delegates included business leaders representing such industries as electronics manufacturing, information technology and investment companies. Their visit to Rockford included a reception, seminars on the Rockford Area and a city tour. |

2007 Rockforward!
On October 10, 2007, the Rockford Area Economic Development Council launched a new five-year strategic plan for 2008 – 2012 called “Rockforward! Funding the Future We Want Now.” This plan is designed to generate new wealth for the Rockford Region by focusing economic development efforts on five primary initiatives.
