Rockford Area Economic Development Council to Market Region at Trade Show/Developers Showcase

August 23, 2010, ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS - The Rockford Area Economic Development Council will exhibit at the annual AIRE Trade Show and Developers Showcase presented by the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers on Tuesday, September 14, 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, 9300 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Rosemont.

Participation in the event will help market the Rockford area and its many assets to the largest real estate brokerage association in Illinois.

"This is one of the important ways that we reach people of influence as companies and site selectors look for the best locations in which to expand or relocate," said Janyce Fadden, RAEDC president and executive director of I-39 Logistics Corridor Association, an organization that markets the I-39 corridor for its superior logistics advantages.

The RAEDC is a member and will participate in the I-39 Logistics Corridor Association's booth at the event. Each year, about 70 exhibitors participate at the event that is attended by more than 400 industrial and commercial real estate professionals.

ABOUT THE RAEDC
The primary role of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council is to enhance wealth creation in the Rockford Region by marketing the area and helping employers retain and create quality jobs. The RAEDC works closely with many partners to serve as a one-stop resource for clients, to improve the competitiveness of the region and to engage the community in the work of economic development.

ABOUT THE I-39 LOGISTICS CORRIDOR ASSOCIATION
The I-39 Logistics Corridor Association a member driven organization that markets the corridor to real estate professionals and developers throughout the Chicagoland area. The I-39Corridor encompasses 10,000 square miles and spans 165 miles from Janesville, WI, on the north to Bloomington, IL, on the south, and 65 miles from Sycamore, IL, on the east to Sterling, IL, on the west. It covers two states and 14 counties. The I-39 Corridor is all about proximity, specifically to everything of vital importance to logistics, manufacturing and other companies analyzing site criteria for the Chicago area, which handles more freight than any other city in the country.
