Airport Announces Partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Rockford, IL - On Wednesday, June 4th, the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) will hold a press conference at 3:45pm in the Main Terminal to announce, introduce, and welcome Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University into the Rock River Valley community.
Embry-Riddle is a world leader in aviation and aerospace higher education. They will be basing their Illinois campus at RFD as a welcomed member to the growing consortium of aerospace partners with the Greater Rockford Airport Authority, Kishwaukee College, NIU, and Rock Valley College. Ultimately, the Airport is very hopeful that the consortium of higher education - coupled with private sector corporations - will lease space in the much-anticipated Aerospace, Education, Research, and Development facility that is being planned for along Beltline Road.
“We are hopeful that area corporate and government leaders will join us tomorrow in the Main Terminal for a press conference when we formally introduce Dr. Ken Smith, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Mr. Ken Dufour, University Trustee, and Mr. Kevin Hill, Marketing Manager.
More specific details regarding degrees being offered, beginning dates for instruction, and opportunities regarding Embry Riddle will be addressed at the press conference.
